How NOT to do Test Automation

Test automation is supposed to make your life easier: faster feedback, better quality and more confidence. But if you’re not careful, it can do the opposite: automation that slows teams down, like flaky tests that nobody trusts, and tests that are hard to maintain.
In this keynote, we’ll explore real-world examples of automation used incorrectly, and what we can learn from them. From these, we uncover what good automation looks like: tests that provide reliable and fast feedback, tools that are used for their intended purpose, and the right level of confidence in your system.
If you’ve ever felt like your test automation is testing you instead of your code, this talk will show you what to avoid — and what to focus on to make your automation work for you, not against you.
